Q. How do I post to a moderated Initiative?
A. Some Initiative email lists, often newsletter style Initiatives or the official news Initiative set automatically when you join the Community Network, are intended only to serve as ways of sending email messages to Initiative members. Only the Initiative moderators (usually administrators or their designates) may send out messages, so that Members do not get overwhelmed with messages to Initiatives.
If you are not the moderator of a Initiative and feel you should be, visit the Initiative Home Page and click the "moderator" email link, and ask the current moderator(s) if you can join them.
If you have official news, but are not the moderator of the pertinent Initiative, you can send the message to moderator, and he or she will send it along for you, or let you know another venue for sharing the information, if appropriate.
